Day 2
OMG!!! It's only day two of the Art Every Day Month challenge.....yikes!! I do happen to paint most days of the week but now I'm forced to show something for myself. I often spend lots of time on my bigger paintings so I've decided that I'm going to need to do some other things to make my quota....lol. Today I've been working on a larger piece so I thought I'd take a break and whip this little one up. Nothing fancy and I noticed that she has so much molding paste under the paint that it's creating interesting textures on her face. At this point I'm going to pretend I don't see it....lol. This is my piece for Day #2....yay!!

fill you heart with art and lots of creativity!!

This is fabulous!! Love it!

I do that with molding paste all the time. Well, I'll prep the canvas not knowing exactly what I'm going to paint. Then when I do my painting the paste is always someplace I'd rather it not be. lol

I love this pic...it reminds me of a Spanish 'bailaora' (dancer)- and your words with it always declare what a sweet person you are.

Manon,

No sweat, you can do it! The creating is not the problem, because you do that everyday as it is. Just let yourself go, and it will be the end of the month before you know it!

Lovely, lovely piece! I want to see some of your larger work too.

Enjoy,
Brian

I like the effect of the paste - let it do what it will, that's part of the fun! And this lady...all of your ladies are beautiful and strong and sensual, but this one has a bit of the exotic to her, perhaps even a little dangerous! I can almost hear flamenco music in the background and the sharp click of her heels! Good work.

There is nothing better than a bit of pressure to get the juices flowing! Could I please borrow her dress, that colour suits me !!!Shame I don't look like her. I always fancied blue eyes and black hair.

WAIT! Wait! Wait! E=What's up with the numbers game? Aren't you supposed to create art, not crank out numbers. You are an artist, not an artisan. You are painting, not baking bread. You are punishing yourself. If by chance you happen to create everyday because it just happens so, that's great but I don't believe in this art everyday deal. Fortunately, you are up to the challenge because whatever you create, it is beautiful, but I have seen so much crap elsewhere as I read about people forcing themselves to create everyday! You are lucky to be blessed with the ability to create something beautiful every time you do it.

I'm going to answer in one comment!! I'm not really sure why the heck I did this. Ces... is right..... I'm not a production line...LOL. I am punishing myself....LOL.
Btw.... Gabriella....she does look like a flamenco dancer!!
K..... don't expect a good attitude by day......7? LOL

Gorgeous! Love the colors. She's beautiful!!

And, I know what you mean..I'm dragging through these first two days. I usually paint every day, too..but I hardly ever blog what I'm working on as I'm working on it. I'm usually blogging a week or so behind what I'm actually painting. So, this fast pace is HARD for me. I wouldn't mind getting used to it though..if I can. It seems like it's a better way than how I do it.

No, you are not a production artist but if you have challenged yourself then you may want to try to go ahead with your goal. If you have over challenged yourself you may want to re-evaluate. I like it!

Day 2 is another winner Manon! Wow - I can't believe you can get such great detail into a small space like that. This is beautiful, moody, love it!!

All the best with the long month ahead, Manon. I love the technique in your background. The yellow shades is new to you! Very effective!
