You are part of me now
You touched me,
With your kindness and love
So enchanted.
Your soft lips are kind.
Your eyes glow with life.
I'm glad you touched me,
You're part of me now.
~Lloyd Carl Owle (Cherokee)
Just so ya'll know....I'm not done with that painting. I have to put her away for awhile because I've been having a hard time painting her....grrrr... : ))) I posted her to show that I have been doing something and that something is driving me crazy!!

I am not what I think I am, and I am not what you think I am, I am... what I think you think I am."

I made a brief comment on my Facebook the other day. My parents and I were out to dinner and they told me I was a different breed...lol. Apparently I am very artistic minded and have an optimistic outlook on life. Really?....lol. My dad says I seem to live one day at a time and I don't look towards the future very often. He said it drove him crazy....lol. Well.... what can I say to that? He's so right.....lol. I'm not always happy about circumstances around me but I'm a happy person. I also live today as often as I can. Sure I have dreams and try to plan some things for the future but life just comes at you sometimes so I'm easily adaptable. Am I a different breed? For sure. We are all different and that is a beautiful thing.
fill your heart with art

I thought all artists were different breeds. Is this supposed to be a BAD thing??? ;D (I know I'm *different*....uh huh....)
You know, if you don't grab the joy in the moment, you might not get the chance again.....
XXOO~~♥

GOOD GOOD words manon!!!XOXO
I know she's not done yet, but just wanted to say I really like the hands in the new painting! Now watch you tell me that's the part driving you crazy!
I also like the photo of you at work - you are holding that paintbrush as if it were a lance and you were striding into battle! Look out, she has a brush and she knows how to use it!
Manon, I want so much for you to be happy and to be in harmony with your heart and mind..
I don't know you in person but just by looking at your beautiful face and lovely smile and at your amazing works of art... I must agree with your father... a different breed... Ask your mother and see what you can find out of it! lol
Great post, my dear MANON!
Lovely painting and lovely artist!
The painting ought to be spectacular when you do finish it
i like your words, that "life just comes at you sometimes..." doesn’t though
have a good one

Manon ..... so i want to see this painting when it gets ready .... because now it already looks great .
yes.... i liked a lot what you wrote . I am 100% with you !
I know what you mean about struggling with a particular piece but this one is looking lovely! I love the richness and depth of the colors.

Manon,
Ah...the new work is full of energy and depth!
So very good to see you smiling with your brush in your hand - that's what it's all about!
Your outlook is honest, and I think you are doing just fine. Keep on!
Have a great week,
Brian
I think if we were not different. Would that be any fun? Parents just worry so it all comes from love. You are blessed to keep a good and happy out look..I do wish I was not one of those who always look in the black...LOL.
Take care my friend.
Katelen
I love this post! It is so great to meet other 'different breeds'. I love your attitude of happiness and being adaptable-it's really quite practical, oh your painting is wonderful as always!
Hey, Anne!! You and I are cut from the same cloth...lol. Yup....we do need to grab the joy of the moment when we can. You are a wise woman!! : )
Thanks, Wanda!!
Hey, G!! It's the face that is driving me crazy!! not happy with her yet. I think I look like a warrior woman holding a brush...LOL

Hey, Brian... Thank you. G....thinks it's my weapon and I do believe she is right!!
I've been told I live my life looking through rose colored glasses, Katelen. Probably not practical but it is what it is. : ))
Thanks, Jane!! Love your profile pic!!
With all the differences we each have, it’s hard to tell the one’s who aren’t… You have the right attitude, and today does count most. Enjoyed this… Thanks
maybe you are having fits with her because she is DONE AND YOU DON'T KNOW IT!! lol
and as for your folks, well... I understand mine had the same issues with me!! lol!!! I guess we are the peaceful, happy and positive BREED!! lol!!
I am very proud to be of a different breed...my father said something similar years ago until he saw my large work in an exhibition with Jenny Holzer. I was always asked about contracts and legal contracts...and I know these are vital and important but that is not why I make my marks. Imagine and Live in peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
What? She's not finished yet? I don't know what else she could need, she's beautiful! I love the calm blues.
Hooray for optimists! I'm so glad you are who you think I think you are!
XOXO
I have always felt like a different breed, and I was proud of it.
I just live one moment at a time.
What else is there?
And your painting is beautiful to me

How I love your pieces, Manon! Very captivating.
Different breed! :)))) Love it! Your painting is beautiful and so are you. :)
Manon, I would love to be like you (I suspect Van Gogh and I share a few similar genetic alleles). You are as gorgeous outside as you are in and even more beautiful than your art (and I love your gorgeous art)!
She's Beautiful Manon, love the butterfly on her hand. I enjoyed reading this post, its good to be different!
Gabriella is right, your brush looks like a great weapon of choice, lol!!
"There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way." One of my fave quotes... and a great reminder :)
She's looking great... beautiful as ever!

Great quote, Douglas!! I believe it!!
That's what I love about you too, Kim!! : )))))))
artists are different, but not always optimistic. you are living in your childmind, the free mind, the mind that SEES a life without limits. that's why i enjoy your expression so much!
Il n'est pas utile d'être fou pour être artiste... mais cela aide!... n'est-ce pas?
La photo de vous est très belle et vous ressemblez tant à vos peintures ou vice versa ...
Gros bisous
I am a different sort too...and i wouldn't have it any other way!
I try to be positive and upbeat in life, in blogging..in my creations...and it's all good....!!!
you look terrific and happy....love the photo..and all of your art speaks volumes!
ciao bella

Loveley and luminous that blue on the sides of the nose sings. It's amazing that a colour can sing, isn't it?
It's a wonderful choice. I have to write that down in my 'note' book
cheers :)
I love that, Michelle. I love living in my childmind. : )
Allo, Martine!! merci, mon amie!!
I knew you were this way, Carmelina!! I can feel it when I go to your blog!!
Hey, Andrew. I seem to always being blues on the face. It makes me heart sing. : ))
Really good. Nice and lovely.:-) Stina
She is beautiful Manon! And what a great pic of you! You always inspire me with the words you share in your posts! :)
Manon your works and your outlook on life is wonderful. I just have to tell you that when I first seen you on Facebook, I had the feeling that I have met you. I just received a message saying I would like your site and seen that you are from Quebec. I am from Quebec as well, born on the Gaspe Coast and went to school in Montreal. Hummn?
I am writing a book at this time on an amazing woman who was an artist as well. You would have loved her!!!
Oh, you are most definitely my kind of breed. Even being a dreamer, I still do not plan for the future. I tend to live from moment to moment, flitting about like a butterfly, landing only on what ever pleases me. And having had the extreme pleasure of meeting you in person, I can attest to the fact that you ARE a happy person...a teeny tiny package bubbling over with life and joy. You exude good energy. And I have never seen eyes so icy blue that were not cold. You are a prize, my friend, a treasure. **blows kisses** Deb
really really like a lot,
you're so talented, I'm happy to meet you!
greetings from Spain
Hi Manon...love the texture in this piece. The background is especially beautiful!
Your da is right. You like so many of us artists are a different breed and I love the ones who are happy doing what they are doing. Not a lot of folks seem to be able to say that. My highschool art teacher told me I would never suceed because I would not follow directions. ??? Thank goodness I still don't. Follow your heart Manon. And praise God for doing it.
Beautiful
work
thank you for sharing
