I've often been asked if I find the poems or songs that I post before I paint something or is it the other way around. Usually I do a painting, write in my words and then I'll see a quote or hear lyrics that match what I may be trying to say but sometimes it's the other way around. There's no rhyme or reason....lol. Today there were two quotes that fit the bill for this painting. I couldn't pick one so I went with both. : ))

Both paintings are beautiful!!! The Amour one stuck me because I just painted an Amour painting a few weeks ago. Valentine's Day and all :) I guess love is in the air.

Manon, the heart you painted is as beautiful as your heart :) have you started your " heart of manon Doyle" yet? A few years ago I designed and sold a bracelet for the Canadian cancer association called "hearts of hope". I love HEARTS too !!!

Hey hey, well you could run your fingers over both these, maybe I should have called you tactile textured Manon? :) The negative space on the top one really works well, so Ruskin was a bit of a poet, I just knew he was the art critic whose wife ran away with a pre raphaelite (can never trust a member of the PRBH. )
The heart colours zing of course. There's something radiant in that one. Metpahorical and physical :)
