The last few days I've decided to put aside my paintings and just play in my old journals. I usually like my 7" x 10" watercolor journals that are coated with gesso but these are in my Moleskins. I needed to change it up a bit. I do coat those pages with gesso also because they are not strong enough to hold up to my abuse on their own. My Moleskins are kind of falling apart but once in a while I come back to them because I adore each one.

I won't be posting for a couple of weeks but I hope to have some good pics from my enameling class in Maine!!! See you soon!!

oh these are gorgeous manon!

i love your journals!

your art trip sounds amazing!

i just got an enamel pendant on etsy and remember making one when i was a little girl at camp.

i was surprised to see that they are fairly complicated to make. i cannot wait to see what you create and how you make them.

all i remember doing is putting powder on copper and the camp counselors did the rest!

tee hee!

hey, Melissa!! I also made enameled pendants in art class in high school. Who knew I'd be going to take it later in my life. xo

Lisa......omg....I'm pretty rough on those pages!! : )))))

i love the textural quality of the pages and your work, it makes the paintings themselves feel almost defiant. thus the woman in them is...that is my personal pov layered over them but that's what i see and they are beautiful!

have funxxx

Heya Manon, your women are full of heart, looking into the distance (future?) I wonder what they are seeing? What ever it is, I am sure it will be good.

We always paint ourselves, eh? (Guess that's why I have lots of old dogs with no teeth in my paintings :)

seriously, have a wonderfulling break!

Manon, you 'adore each one'.

Well, I also adore each one. I am captivated by these 'journal' pieces. Thank you. Enjoy Maine, a most beautiful state, almost seemed (to me) like another country.

Blessings.

I really like these pages, Manon! There's a soft touchable quality to them, but maybe I'm just reacting that way because I love anything to do with paper! I even like the seam cutting the composition in half. Enjoy your art adventure and bring home a full report!

Hello, I came over from Lynne's. These pages are awesome. First I thought that they were huge paintings. They have such moodiness and strength. Do you use oils or acrylics?

Well....they are certainly falling apart, Buffy!! :)

Hey, G!! I feel the same way about paper. Oooh....I especially love those beautiful rice papers!!

It's always an adventure, Katelen!! : ))

Thank you, Dulce!!

Awe....thanks, Diana!!

Hey, Roxanne....I just left a comment on your blog!! I paint in acrylics because oil would drive me up the wall if I had to wait weeks for it to dry!!! : P
